Vintage Dr. Seuss Lunch Box

Item Description: DR. SEUSS VINYL LUNCHBOX AND PLASTIC/GLASS THERMOS from Aladdin Industries 1970. This extremely rare R-8 vinyl lunchkit is based on the very popular cartoons of Dr. Seuss – with the artwork done by the good doctor himself – Theodore Geisel . As such, it is classic Americana with awesome use of color and characters including The Cat In The Hat on the front panel (as also found on the front panel of the metal box which came out the same year). More wonderful art on the thermos with the Cat In The Hat, the Grinch and Horton (hearing a Who?). A must-have for the Dr. Seuss fan and the child in everyone! This vinyl kit is very hard-to-find, and especially rare in this amazing condition! Condition: Box and thermos are complete and correct. Decals is very clean and crip - and vinyl panals are clean and glossy throughout. Box is also free of the tears or rips in the corners so typical with these vintage vinyl boxes.  All tight and mostly square and solid and with only a few tiny rubbings. Inside of box is also very clean - with no previous owner markings. Metal hardware is clean. Box in overall Excellent Plus C-8.5 condition. Thermos decals are very clean and glossy throughout - in overall Near Mint C-9 condition. From my personal collection – stored carefully in a cool, dry, smoke-free room away from sunlight.
